Disingenuous and dishonest

I am an Australian physician visiting USA. I discovered I left my lipid-lowering medication in Australia and went into Patient First in Silver Spring MD on 2 June 18 hoping to get a prescription. I was told the charge would be $119 and told them not to worry and left. One of their staff members came running after me into the car park saying the charge would, in fact, be $39 because it would be covered under "Visit for Diabetes, Cholesterol or Prostate cancer screening". When I got in the staff (nurse and Dr insisted on going through this whole totally unnecessary process despite having no consent to do so and then attempted to levy a charge of $119. In the end, they put $39 on my card, but the Company - Patient First have said they are claiming another $80. And this is despite them saying don't worry we will sort it out with the office. Clearly, the office doesn't care that what they are doing is totally unreasonable and frankly in my view dishonest.

Refused medical care over 40$

A billing dispute over 40$ occurred between our insurance company and patient first. Only had the 50$ copay at the time and were refused medical treatment over 40$. The most unprofessional and disgusting medical practice to be in existence.

Denied Service Over $26!

Last Sunday I believe I've been bitten by a brown recluse spider. However, I went to seek medical attention because the site where I was bitten had gotten worse because I'm diabetic. I was refused to be seen because I was told I owe $26 from over 1 year ago, which at that time I was told that bill was sent to Medicaid (permanently disabled covered 80% by Medicare and 20% by Medicaid). I felt so deathly ill and the bite on my left breast was infected. I was also told by staff they don't have to see me because they are a private practice and recommended that I go to emergency, Annapolis, Glen Burnie and or Union Memorial Hospital where my primary care doctor. The weather was bad last night and I was too ill to drive...

After waiting more than one hour noone came to visit me and I did ask the nurse regarding the Doctor after first 30 min waiting but at the end noone came so I had to leave the patient first. Very bad behavior and bad customer service. Not recommending to anyone. The address woodman patient first glen allen VA

How convenient that you failed to mention that it states right in your medical records from your PRIMARY dr that you were to follow up at 3 months time and be re examined before another refill was prescribed. Also that you and your father were rude and obnoxious the second you walked in.

Everyone tried to help you but your nasty father kept cursing and yelling and you refused to listen. You were also given all of managements names and numbers.Your father was asked to leave after staff felt threatened by him - which he refused to do until he was informed that the police would have to be called if he did not leave. No one gets paid enough to deal with ignorant people like you.

Misdiagnosed broken leg

I fell down some brick steps and landed on a brick patio. The next day I went to Patiemt First to find out if my leg or knee was broken. They x'rayed my leg and told me nothing was broken. They gave me an ace bandage and I went to work. I am a greeter for Home Depot so I am standing on my feet for 4 hours a day. I went back to Patient First that afternoon and requested a full leg brace because I was in a lot of pain and my leg wasnt working properly. Two weeks later i was still in a lot of pain. I saw my pain DR and asked him to give me a referal for an MRI. I finally saw an ortjopedic surgeon 20 days after I fell. On the. MRI you could clearly see a 2 inch fracture down the front of my tibia and a lot of bone breusing. My orthopedic surgeon said it was a miracle that it hadnt displaced otherwise I would have to have massive surgery. I worked an walked on a broken leg for 20 days!!! All because Patient First misdiagnosed the broken leg.

Worst place EVER!!

I went into Patient First on 02/04/2018, for sore throat and headache. They swabbed me for the flu and strep. Both they say came back negative, I called 02/08/2018 for my results. The lady said they weren't in yet. I explained my tonsils are still swollen and its painful to swallow. She said she would have someone call me, i wound up in the ER that night in alot of pain. They gave me a antibiotic there. Still didn't hear anything, more then furious for not getting a call i went back to patient first on 02/10/2018. I complained to the lady at the desk and of course she said if its negative they will send a lettwr, positive they will call you. AS IF I DONT KNOW THAT!! The doctor took me back and seen my tonsils were worse with more white patches. She pulled up my results, and said i tested positive for strep throat. If i tested positive HOW COME NO ONE CALLED ME???!!! Worst place ever!!!!!

Lab Technicians and Dr.'s don't know the difference between a positive and negative UTI urine culture

I took my six year old to Patient First, four times in one year, because she was complaining of painful urination, and not feeling well. (I grew up with issues myself with kidney problem's, so I am proactive when it comes to this issue). All four visits to PF, I was told my daughter's urine culture was positive for UTI. So being the Proactive Parent that I am, I scheduled an appointment with a Pediatric Urologist to have her checked! Today is November 15, 2017, my daughter's PU appt. was this morning! My husband and I were very pissed off to learn that after the urologist looked over my daughter's urine culture results for the past year at PF, were all Negative for a UTI's. My question to the PU Dr. was, "You mean I have been giving my six year old prescribed medicine from PF, for no reason at all! Her reply was "Yes"! Needles to say, Momma Bear is pissed! How hard is it to decipher a negative from a da*n positive in a urine culture! The answers are given to you! Never again!! Now I am thinking, that when I went up there for a UTI, it was more than likely, negative too! PATIENT FIRST IS A $&#%!*# JOKE!

Office staff nice - Doctors suck big time!!

Patient First - Mechanicsburg, PA. Had 2 sores on leg - one got infected, both were painful. Female Dr. was very short and hurried - didn't want to hear anything I had to say. She decided was Diabetic related (I'm not diabetic!) I think is Lyme - told me I can't have Lyme (even though I had 5 ticks *** and bullseyes on all 8 mths. ago?!?!?) Gave me 10 days Bactrim and did biopsy and then nurse bandaged and sent me off. Nobody called me about biopsy or told me needed # to get in and view myself. Came back to same place 8 days later - Leg was healing, but still looked infected - asked for more Bactrim (4-7 days was all I wanted.) Told by male Dr. that I can't have more because not needed AND I might become drug resistant (this is first AB I've had in over 6 mths. - (had Doxy for Lyme in Feb.) Also told me I COULDN"T HAVE LYME - didn't explain why, just that I couldn't and any "symptoms" I had were either due to the leg or were in my head. Also said that any information I got off the internet was false because anybody can print anything on there - probably not real doctors, etc. Told me to go to wound management specialist (for what - I already know how to put a bandage on!!!!???) Basically sent me packing - cost me $50. All they could harp about was that my BP was 136/73 and that made me pre-hypertensive and I needed to get on meds (really you base it on ONE sample??? ) and I also needed checked/treated for diabetes based on the sore leg. I am not overweight, I exercise regularly, I count carbs as well as calories because my mother was diagnosed in her 70's (I'm 57) and have no other symptoms.
